MAKE TENERIFE PART OF YOUR CRUISE HOLIDAY FOR FESTIVE FUN AND EXCELLENT LOCAL FARE.

One of the best-known of Spain's Canary Islands, Tenerife is the perfect cruise destination. Located in the Atlantic Ocean, the islands are found just off the coast of Africa, with its gorgeous temperatures and beautiful scenery.

The largest of the islands, there is so much for you to see and do whilst on a Canary Islands cruise. The volcanic landscape, which is characterised by rugged, steep coastline and miles of beaches, is perfect for adrenaline-junkies, with kite surfing and swimming popular activities to enjoy. However, the black sand beach of Playa de la Arena is also a fantastic place to sunbathe and top up your tan!

Teide-Pico Viejo, Spain’s tallest peak, towers over the island and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Often referred to as having a lunar landscape, the volcanic activity in the National Park has created a dramatic backdrop waiting for you to explore on your Canary Island cruise. With a cable car to take you to the summit, experience breathtaking views of the islands, or follow a hiking trail for a gentler ascent.

Tenerife has some incredible architectural sights waiting for you to discover. However, head down to Santa Cruz to see the very modern Auditorio de Tenerife, reminiscent of Australia’s Sydney Opera House for its most prolific building. Other noteworthy places include Loro Parque, which boasts the world’s largest collection of parrots, and you can’t miss the striking bell tower of the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Concepción, the city’s oldest church.

Learn about the island’s ancient inhabitants at the archaeological sites of Guanches or explore the mysterious step pyramids at Güímar. When you need a break, Tenerife also has an abundant variety of fresh fish, well-known cheeses and renowned wines to savour. So, if you’re looking for a fantastic destination to soak up the sun, Canary Island cruises could be exactly what you’re looking for!
