Venture into the Atherton Tablelands, a realm of rainforest, falls and exotic wildlife. Begin with a stroll along the breathtaking Mamu Tropical Skywalk. This network of aerial trails takes you from the rainforest floor up more than 80 feet into the treetops. Visit Millaa Millaa Falls, and view Queensland’s highest mountain, Mt. Bartle Frere (1622m). Next experience one of Australia’s grandest man-made structures in a natural Enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the rainforest as you trek along the trail and stop at observation points. Then, pay a visit the Australian Platypus Park, where you’re quite likely to see these elusive creatures making their home among the Lilly pads. Afterwards, head to Gallo Dairyland for a tasting of Aussie chocolates and cheeses, followed by a delicious lunch. Then, it’s off to the Curtain Fig Tree, an enormous strangler fig that’s over 500 years old. Finally, wind down with a cold Aussie beer at a traditional pub.
