Spend the day at one the island’s many beaches—including Laginha, Praia Grande and Calhau—or head to Sao Pedro, renowned as one of the best Cape Verdean beaches for windsurfing. At night, head to the Praca Nova district for an evening of dining, dancing, and local music.

The historic Torre de Belem is a reproduction of the 15th-century tower that guards the port of Lisbon's today. Located in the heart of town next to a bustling fish market, you can discover the history and culture of Mindelo, as well as stunning views of the town.
Head to the top of Monte Verde, the tallest mountain of Cape Verde and part of a nature reserve, for spectacular views of Mindelo and the entire island, including Baia des Gatas, and the islands Santa Luzia and Santo Antao.
